On my account you will be brought before governors and kings as witnesses to them and to the Gentiles. But when they arrest you, do not worry about what to say or how to say it. At that time you will be given what to say, for it will not be you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.
Your relationship with God should change your heart. If your relationship with God is strong, your wanting to please him should be strong also.
The verse above was Jesus talking to the diciples. They were so willing to serve him that by the time they were all killed, the world really different. We should resolve to be willing to obey and love God with everything we have

Two rocks

'Do not curse the deaf or put a stumbling block in front of the blind, but fear your God. I am the LORD.
Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way.
There are two kinds of rocks that we choose. One rock is the one you build your house upon and look to for shelter = JESUS. The other rock is the one that you use to be a stumbling block to your brother. A bad example can lead to bad things. It's like making a blind somebody trip on a stone. Exept it's you getting in to trouble, then when your brother sees and does it, and you get him in trouble. "But you did it!" Great, now youv'e made a fool of yourself. There's nothing good about doing anything like that. so today just don't be a stumbling block

DAY EIGHT - disobedience

Romans 11:32 For God has bound all men over to disobedience so that he may have mercy on them all.
A few days ago I was unconsciously disobedient to Mom. I was carrying something behind my back which mom had said a long time ago not to do. It was the honey I was carrying to the pantry. WELL... the honey container wasn't all that clean. So I ended up with sticky hair and a sticky shirt. It's kinda funny how God punishes people for small things that I wouldn't of even recognized. Of course, it wasn't a big punishment, but God made the point clear. So people, today try to think and act on disobedience.

DAY 7 Being kind and thankful

Today I have had a really hard time being nice to my buddy, Mal. I was mad at everything. The nice thing was, Yesterday mom told us about a lady in her book. This lady was mad at everything all the time. she set a goal for herself,so that when she started to feel even a litle irratation about anything, she would think of things to be thankful about. And it worked! so today try to bekind and thankful

Forgivness

'But with you there is forgiveness; therefore you are feared.'
It's hard to forgive. I didn't think anyone would forgive me today becuase it was my fault for for losing a soccer game. It could be your child, mother, father, sister, brother, friend, stranger, relative, anyone that you could ever be mad at. A few posts ago, I talked about being offended. Whatever someone does agaist you, their gona pay. What makes anything hard to forgive?

I am reminded of a book about a girl whose mother is dead and she lives with her father and brother. Before she goes on a plane all by herself, she gets in a fight with her dad. She left without making it up to him and almost gets killed. She felt really bad about it, but eventually makes it up.
We take life fore granted way to much. A.K.A. Fighting with your brother, getting mad at your sister for not letting you hold the puppy when he's asleep etc. etc. After you had goteen mad at her, you wouldn't talk to her. Then you come into the kitchen and see she's fallen off the - refrigerator and died. You'd feel horribly terrible of course.
So, don't take life for granted.

DAY 4 - Hurt feelings

I recall our pastor talking about being offended. He said that it wasn't our job to go around mopey or mad cuz someone offended us. He said that to many times we tend to think, 'what are they trying to say?' or 'was he trying to make me mad?' etc. etc. There gonna make that right in the end. You don't have to worry!

Proverbs 25:28 Like a city whose walls are broken down is a man who lacks self-control.
Titus 2:2 Teach the older men to be temperate, worthy of respect, self-controlled, and sound in faith, in love and in endurance.
Today I've had a really hard time with self control. Today has been a hard day, And I've REALLY been having a hard time not lashing out at people. The bible also says, So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self-controlled. Asleep! does that mean asleep in Christ? So Whatever the challenge, try to stay self controlled and awake in Christ.

DAY 2 - Pride

Leviticus 26 :19 "I will break down your stubborn pride and make the sky above you like iron and the ground beneath you like bronze.

2 Chronicles 26:16 "But after Uzziah became powerful, his pride led to his downfall."

There are so many different passages on pride. It lists some on that click thing.
Pride is a big downfall in our family. So the Goal of the day is to have humility.
Proverbs 11:2 "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility comes wisdom."

Temptation

DAY 1. Latley, I've been trying to master temptation. I've been doing okay, But sometimes I just, blow up in anger and I don't even try to stop myself, even though I tell myself not to. I just don't do anything about it. In Matthew 4, Jesus is tempted.
Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the desert to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came toAlign Left him and said, "If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread."
Jesus answered, "It is written: 'Man does not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.'"
Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. "If you are the Son of God," he said, "throw yourself down. For it is written: " 'He will command his angels concerning you, and they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.'"
Jesus answered him, "It is also written: 'Do not put the Lord your God to the test.'"
Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. "All this I will give you," he said, "if you will bow down and worship me."
Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
It's kinda funny, God wasn't only tempted by what the devil said, but he was probably also tempted to scream at the the devil. I think it was appropriate when he said, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'"
So, the goal of the day is to, as many times as you can, resist temptation, especaily yelling.
