When the queen of Sheba heard of Solomon's fame, she came to Jerusalem to test him with hard questions. Arriving with a very great caravan—with camels carrying spices, large quantities of gold, and precious stones—she came to Solomon and talked with him about all she had on her mind. Solomon answered all her questions; nothing was too hard for him to explain to her. When the queen of Sheba saw the wisdom of Solomon, as well as the palace he had built, the food on his table, the seating of his officials, the attending servants in their robes, the cupbearers in their robes and the burnt offerings he made at [a] the temple of the LORD, she was overwhelmed. OK, Overwhelmed is a big word, although its fitting. The cupbearers had robes. She saw the riches, the wisdom, and the splendor, and she was overwhelmed. Overwhelmed at what God had given him.

Hear the supplications of your servant and of your people Israel when they pray toward this place. Hear from heaven, your dwelling place; and when you hear, forgive, hear from heaven and act. "Now, my God, may your eyes be open and your ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.
"Now arise, O LORD God, and come to your resting place, you and the ark of your might. May your priests, O LORD God, be clothed with salvation, may your saints rejoice in your goodness. O LORD God, do not reject your anointed one. Remember the great love promised to David your servant."

I put that together from a couple of different verses of Solomon's prayer. "Hear from heaven, your dwelling place; and when you hear, forgive." It's kinda a sighn of how much we really need God.

Praise the LORD. [a] Praise the
name of the LORD; praise him,
you servants of the LORD,
Praise the LORD. [a]
Praise the name of the LORD;
praise him, you servants of the LORD.
I read this verse yesterday And I thought it was kinda cool.
'Praise the
name of the LORD'
The name. God is so highly priased and worshiped that even his name is worthy to be praised.
Praise the LORD!

When all the work Solomon had done for the temple of the LORD was finished, he brought in the things his father David had dedicated—the silver and gold and all the furnishings—and he placed them in the treasuries of God's temple. Accompanied by trumpets, cymbals and other instruments, they raised their voices in praise to the LORD and sang: "He is good; his love endures forever." Then the temple of the LORD was filled with a cloud, and the priests could not perform their service because of the cloud, for the glory of the LORD filled the temple of God. That would be INCREDIBLE, AMAZING, MARVELOUS, EVERY OTHER WORD DESCRIBING AWESOMENESS! to have God in there with you is INDESCRIBABLE!

Then Solomon began to build the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem on Mount Moriah, where the LORD had appeared to his father David. It was on the threshing floor of Araunah [a] the Jebusite, the place provided by David. He began building on the second day of the second month in the fourth year of his reign. He overlaid the inside with pure gold. He paneled the main hall with pine and covered it with fine gold and decorated it with palm tree and chain designs. He adorned the temple with precious stones. And the gold he used was gold of Parvaim. He overlaid the ceiling beams, doorframes, walls and doors of the temple with gold, and he carved cherubim on the walls. That temple sounds glorious. And I bet it was. It was probably beautiful. He overlaid the inside with pure gold. It had all kinds of precious stones. God gave the instructions on how to make it and what it looks like an you tell.

Solomon son of David established himself firmly over his kingdom, for the LORD his God was with him and made him exceedingly great. One night God appeared to Solomon and said to him, "Ask for whatever you want me to give you." Solomon answered God, "You have shown great kindness to David my father and have made me king in his place. Now, LORD God, let your promise to my father David be confirmed, for you have made me king over a people who are as numerous as the dust of the earth. Give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may lead this people, for who is able to govern this great people of yours?" Solomon was smart. He says to himself, Hey, I'm the ruler over a people more numerous than the stars in the sky, And I'm kinda new to this, so if I could be wiser, I'd rule better. It also showed what a good ruler he'd been already. He wasn't selfish, he didn't ask for riches, and he also didn't ask for his enemies destroyed

Then the leaders of families, the officers of the tribes of Israel, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds, and the officials in charge of the king's work gave willingly. They gave toward the work on the temple of God five thousand talents [d] and ten thousand darics [e] of gold, ten thousand talents [f] of silver, eighteen thousand talents [g] of bronze and a hundred thousand talents [h] of iron. Any who had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the temple of the LORD in the custody of Jehiel the Gershonite. The people rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the LORD. David the king also rejoiced greatly. Isn't that cool? They rejoiced at the willing response of their leaders, for they had given freely and wholeheartedly to the Lord. That would make me happy too.
