Why do you boast of evil, you mighty man? Why do you boast all day long, you who are a disgrace in the eyes of God?
Why does he do that? And why doesn't anybody stop him? Because he's a mighty man. People have an awe for cool strong guys and are willing to believe anything they say and think it's awesome. In our history book, about 100 A.D. there was a man, I forgot his name, but he was a great army commander and he claimed to be God. And guess what? People believed him. He never did any miracles, in fact, he died in battle, and they lost the war. But when Jesus came, they were expecting a mighty man who would save them from the Romans, not their sins. When the other "Mighty guy" came along, the people were all to ready to believe in him, just cuz he was mighty, and that was what they wanted.

yes, in fact the man came after Jesus did.
I think that when iit says mighty man, it doesn't mean strong intimidating man. I think it means a man held in a high position by his followers. Like a king, or even just someone that is fairly "popular" like in a school.
Boasting about something, maybe he tricked someone, or cheated. Then his evil buddys could think that he is clever. Or something like that. It could be that a man goes to church, and he is considered a holy man among his peers. Really he just goes but does ot apply anything, or listen. He is not really there, he is just going through false motions. If someone asks him, how is your spiritual life, he would say,"Well I have been going to church and..." on and on. that would be false, and he would be boasting in evil. His friends wouldn't know about that.
