"Go, shut yourself within your house. And you, O son of man, behold, cords will be placed upon you, and you shall be bound with them, so that you cannot go out among the people. And I will make your tongue cling to the roof of your mouth, so that you shall be mute and unable to reprove them, for they are a rebellious house. But when I speak with you, I will open your mouth, and you shall say to them, 'Thus says the Lord GOD.' He who will hear, let him hear; and he who will refuse to hear, let him refuse, for they are a rebellious house."

So far, the book of Ezekiel has been nothing but confusion. It sounds like God is speaking literally, but that can't be right. What was the point of this passage anyway? First God says Ezekiel won't be able to speak, and then He says that he will be able to. Maybe I'm just confused because I'm sick.

Actually this is one of my favorite parts of Ezekiel. I just imagine how great it would be for God to bind my tongue and make it impossible to speak if my words were not of Him. And then for him to open my mouth and puts the words there....well it sure would take the guess work out of what to say!!

You're right though, Eze is confusing!

Feel better, Love Momma
