Get yourself ready! Stand up and say to them whatever I command you. Do not be terrified by them, or I will terrify you before them. They will fight against you but will not overcome you, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the LORD.

I wonder what Jeremiah had to say about all this. God didn't give him much of a choice, but when he spoke, it was to state a problem, not to object. Imagine God coming to you, telling you your destiny, and what you'll be doing all your life, and touching you! Must have been a pretty full day for Jeremiah.
